What is ICET

ICET stands for Integrated Common Entrance Test, conducted by the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), Hyderabad. It is an entrance test for admission into MBA and MCA programs offered by universities in Telangana and their affiliated colleges.

TG ICET 2025 Notification Highlights

The TG ICET 2025 official notification has been released for the academic year 2025. This year, Mahatma Gandhi University is conducting the exam, with no major changes compared to last year.

  • Application Dates: March 10 to May 3, 2025.
  • End Date: Last of Submitting application with late of 250/- is 17th may and with a late of 500/- is 26th May, 2025.
  • Exam Date: June 8th and 9th, 2025.
  • Application Fee: ₹750 for General category, Backward Classes, and others; ₹550 for SC/ ST and Differently abled Candidates.
  • Exam Mode: Computer Based Test.
  • Exam Type: Multiple-choice questions.

Eligibility Criteria for TG ICET 2025

General Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must be an Indian National and should fulfill the local status requirements as per the official Government Orders (G.O.s) of Telangana.
  • Candidates who have passed any bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed their degree but are awaiting results are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission into MBA:

  • The candidate must have passed a bachelor’s degree of at least three years duration (e.g., B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, BBM, BCA, B.E, B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, or any other 3-year or 4-year degree, except Oriental languages).

Eligibility Criteria for Admission into MCA:

  • The candidate must have passed BCA, B.Com, B.Sc, or B.A with Mathematics at the 10+2 level or during graduation.

Additional Requirements of Telangana ICET:

  • Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying degree (for unreserved categories) and 45% marks for reserved categories (BC/SC/ST) or its equivalent examination.
  • The qualifying degree obtained through a distance mode program/Open Distance Learning (ODL) must be recognized by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE, and DEC/DEB, as per UGC regulations of 2013 and 2020.

How to Apply for TG ICET

TG ICET 2025 exam applications must be submitted online only. The registration fee, including any late fee, can be paid through TG Online Centers in Telangana or via payment gateways using credit cards and other online payment methods.

  • Step 2: Click on the “Application Fee Payment” option and make the payment shown as per the notification
  • Step 3: After the fee payment, please save your payment id for future reference
  • Step 4: Fill the application form with all details
  • Step 5: Upload the passport photo and signature
  • Step 6: Submit the application form and save the TG ICET application form
