What is TG TET Exam
TET stands for Teacher Eligibility Test and is conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana.
This exam determines the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers for Classes 1 to 8, basically the primary school level.
The TS TET exam is conducted in two papers.
Paper 1 is for primary teachers (Classes 1 to 5), and Paper 2 is for secondary teachers who want to teach Classes 6 to 8.
If a candidate wants to teach Classes 1 to 8, they need to qualify in both papers.
TET 2025 Exam Dates and Results
As per government information, Telangana TET is conducted twice every year.
Last year, it was held in November, and the results were released in February 2025.
Now, the TS TET notification is out again in April 2025, and the exam will be held from June 15 to June 30.

How To Apply For Telangana TET Exam Online
Telangana TET Application Form 2025 will be released by the Department of School Education on the official website. Online application process will be begin from April 15, 2025.
Candidates need to fill out the TS TET Application Form by following the steps below:

- Click on the fee payment link
- Register for the exam and make the fee payment
- Click on the ‘Know your journal number’ link
- Enter your mobile number, date of birth, select the exam paper, and get your journal number
- Click on the application submission link
- Enter the journal number or payment reference ID, date of birth, and date of fee payment to log in
- Fill out the TSTET application form
- Upload the scanned images of your photograph and signature
- Submit the application form
- Take a printout of the confirmation page
TG TET Eligibility Criteria 2025

The TS TET eligibility criteria differ for Paper 1 and Paper 2, as mentioned below:
Telangana TET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5)
Candidates applying for Paper 1 must fulfill any one of the following criteria to meet the TS TET eligibility requirements:
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled candidates)
and passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
or a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled candidates)
and passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
or a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
(for candidates who passed or were admitted to D.El.Ed/D.Ed before 23-Dec-2015 as per guidelines)
OR

TSTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8)
Candidates applying for Paper 2 must meet any one of the following criteria:

and passed a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
or Bachelor of Education (Special Education)
