DOST stands for Degree Online Services Telangana – is an online portal to provide admissions into degree colleges in the state.

What is DOST
DOST stands for Degree Online Services in Telangana – it is an online admission portal launched by the Telangana State Higher Education. This dedicated system combines all the government colleges, private aided colleges, and autonomous institutions under a single platform. The primary reason for creating DOST is to make the admission process into degree colleges easier, enabling students to apply to various institutions with a single application.
Eligibility Criteria for DOST Online Application
Telangana DOST application requirements are as follows. The applicant must be an Indian citizen and should have passed Intermediate (10+2) with minimum qualifying marks from the Board of Intermediate Education or any other recognized board. Students who passed Intermediate in 2023, 2022, 2021, or 2020 can also apply through the DOST application portal. Diploma holders are also eligible.
Additional Course-Wise Eligibility Criteria
- B.Sc Programs:
- Minimum 40% marks in the relevant science subject
- Arts and Commerce students are not eligible
- B.A Courses:
- Open to all Intermediate streams
- BSW Programs:
- Minimum 40% marks in Intermediate
- B.Sc (Science):
- Only for students with MPC or BPC backgrounds
The DOST admission portal includes colleges affiliated with eight major universities across Telangana.

This system brings together approximately 1,000 colleges offering around 200 undergraduate courses, including BA, BSc, BCom, BCom (Vocational), BCom (Honors), BSW, BBA, BBM, BCA, and other specialized programs.
How To Apply DOST Online – Step by Step Guide

Step by Step Guide For DOST Online Application
Here’s what you need to do:
1. Visit the official site
2. Pre-Registration
- Enter your Inter Hall Ticket Number
- Date of Birth
- Aadhaar Number
- Mobile Number
- Get OTP, verify it
- You’ll receive your DOST ID
3. Pay Registration Fee
- ₹200 for Phase 1
- ₹400 for later phases
- Pay online (Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI)
4. Fill Application Form
- Login using DOST ID and PIN
- Enter personal and academic details
- Upload documents:
- Passport photo
- Signature
- Inter memo
- Caste/Income certificates (if needed)
5. Web Options Entry
- Choose your preferred colleges and courses
- Rank them in order of priority
- Save and submit
6. Seat Allotment
- Wait for the allotment date
- Check your seat on the DOST portal
7. Online Self-Reporting
- If you get a seat, confirm it by self-reporting
- Pay the college fee online
8. Report to College
- Take your original certificates
- Final verification at college
