What Telangana DEECET
TG DEECET stands for Telangana Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test, conducted by the Telangana Department of School Education. It is for admissions into the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) and Diploma in Pre-School Education (D.P.S.E.) programs across Telangana state.
TG DEECET 2025 Notification Highlights
The TG DEECET 2025 official notification has been released for the academic year 2025. And there are no major changes compared to last year.
- Application Dates: March 24 to May 15, 2025.
- End Date: Last of Submitting application with late of 250/- is 17th may and with a late of 500/- is 26th May, 2025.
- Exam Date: Announced soon
- Application Fee: Announced soon.
- Exam Mode: Computer Based Test.
- Exam Type: Multiple-choice questions.
Eligibility Criteria for TG DEECET 2025
Candidates should have passed or appeared for the Intermediate Examination (Qualifying Exam) or its equivalent, as decided by the DEECET Committee, to be eligible for DEECET. However, they must have passed the qualifying examination by the time of admission.
Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination to be eligible for DEECET.
- The minimum percentage of marks for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Physically Challenged candidates is 45%.
- As per G.O.Ms.No 10 Education, dated 12.04.2017, candidates who have passed the Intermediate examination with vocational courses are not eligible.
- However, in view of the orders dated 12.04.2019 of the Honorable High Court of Telangana in IA No.1 of 2019 in WP.No.6482/2019, candidates who have passed the Intermediate exam with vocational courses will be allowed to sit for DEECET-2024 provisionally.
- However, they cannot claim any equity in their favor. The final result of such candidates will be subject to the decision of the Honorable High Court in WP.No.6482/2019.
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as of September 1st of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit for admission into the D.El.Ed./D.P.S.E. programs.
